Secure TeleHealth, a National Council Affiliate Member, based in Pittsburgh, PA, provides a secure, inexpensive, PC-based, video conferencing service for the delivery of behavioral healthcare in the community. No matter where you are located across the country, clinican and client can be linked via video coferencing, optimizing treatment, support and services for the people you serve.
Centerstone, Inc. of Nashville, TN, and Not Alone are partnering to expand support services available to veterans, active members of the armed forces, and military families. The organizations are providing online support as well as in-person mental health services to veterans and their loved ones.
Congratulations to AtlantiCare Behavioral Health in Atlantic City, NJ for being recognized among six finalists for the Governor Richard Codey Trophy for Mental Health Quality Improvement! More than 60 QI projects were submitted. AtlantiCare has been chosen for their participation in the National Council's Access and Engagment Project.
River Oak Center for Children in Sacramento, CA has received a $10,000 grant from the Nationwide Insurance Foundation. The grant will be used for activities at River Oak’s Family Resource Center that provide emergency basic needs and crisis stabilization to children and families in need.
On June 4th, The Guidance Center - Riverside Community Care in Dedham, MA, with Partners Health Care and the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, participated in a conference on BULLYING: Lessons in Prevention and Intervention.
Tim Bonner, Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist at Valeo Behavioral Health in Topeka, KA has recently been selected to present this workshop on Synergistic Parenting at the “Satir World Conference 2010: Synergy for a Peaceful World” in Hong Kong this June.
CenterPoint Human Services in Winston-Salem, NC, and the Stokes County Mental Health Association (MHA) are proud to announce the fourth annual FUNday being held Friday June 18, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Central Park in King, NC. FUNday was created to break down barriers related mental health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse services by inviting all people in our communities to join together and focus on one thing - FUN!
Pathways to Housing, Inc. in New York, NY, is on a mission to raise $20,000 to support their new Community Garden. In multiple garden sites, Pathways' clients are learning how to plant, nurture, and harvest vegetables and herbs. The produce will be used in nutrition classes where participants cook and eat healthy meals together, combating the health risks that often emerge from having lived on the streets.
Astor Services for Children & Families (Rhinebeck, NY) received a $25,000 grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation of Battle Creek, Michigan that will support improvements to the delivery of services to children, ages zero to five, and their families in Dutchess County.
Places for People (St. Louis, MO) was awarded a $25,000 grant from Newman’s Own Foundation to support the nonprofit’s homeless outreach program in St. Louis, Mo. Grant funding will allow Places for People to find and engage individuals in services who are homeless and living with severe psychiatric disorders.
