Reintegration Award Submissions: Frequently Asked Questions

Am I eligible?
There are Reintegration Awards for treatment teams/programs and for individuals.  Treatment teams, programs, and services that support people living with severe mental illness as well as local and national efforts to improve services and decrease the stigma of mental illness may be recognized.  The Reintegration Awards also recognize the achievements of people living with severe mental illness who give hope to others facing similar challenges.

What if I do not have transcripts/documentation required for the scholarship application?

The Reintegration Awards at the National Council site are not to be confused with the scholarships available at www.reintegration.com.

My user name/password are not working.
The user name and password are created when you register for completing the online application. This login information is not the same as your National Council Member Login. If the user name and password you created when registering for the awards is not working, you can call 202.684.7457 ext 281 and we can reset them for you.

What if I have artwork to submit that supports my application?
If you do not have digital versions of you supporting materials to upload in the online application form, you may mail us your materials and we can scan it and upload it for you.  Please only send things which can be scanned (no 3-D artwork such as sculpture). The size and formatting limitations remain the same as are stated at the online application form (max 5 pages, .doc or .pdf).

I’m having trouble uploading things.
a.    Note that the system we use for storing applications limits the amount of data each applicant may submit.  Most uploads are limited to 2-5 pages maximum, each should state above it how much you can upload.  Please do not mail us material in excess of this, since we can only attach it to your application using the same system with the same limits you see online.

I already submitted my application but want to modify it or resubmit.
If you call our technical assistance line 202.684.7457 ext 281, we can make limited modifications to your already submitted application or delete it so you can resubmit.

I want to nominate someone and have it be a surprise to them. How do I fill out the application?
You will complete the application with your name as the applicant and the person you are nominating as the nominee. It is acceptable to list your name on the final consent page.  Should your nominee win an award, we will contact you first to arrange informing them of the award and gaining their consent on the application.

My online application says ‘incomplete’ but I have completed everything!
When you log into your application, click on ‘view nomination’ in the left side menu. Next click on the red word ‘incomplete’ and this should take you to a page which lists all sections of your application which are incomplete. If you click on the red words ‘requirement not met’ you will be taken to the page where you can complete this requirement. Enter your information and don’t forget to click ‘save’.

You may repeat this process starting with clicking on ‘view nomination’ until your application is complete, then you must click ‘submit’ when you are ready to send it to us for judging.
