The official journal of the National Council, The Journal of Behavioral Health Services & Research is published quarterly by Springer.

This peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary journal features applied services research, policy, and practical articles on the organization, financing, delivery, and outcomes of mental health and addiction services. It is an award-winning publication and one of the nation’s most respected journals. Every issue includes perspectives on current developments and issues in behavioral health and is packed with insightful research articles, reports, and commentaries—all with real-time applications. The Journal also publishes special issues and/or special topics in behavioral health services. 

Dr. Bruce Lubotsky Levin, Associate Professor and Head of the Graduate Studies in Behavioral Health Program at the University of South Florida’s College of Public Health and School of Mental Health Studies at the USF de la Parte Mental Health Institute, serves as Editor-In-Chief of the Journal’s distinguished editorial board.
