WRAP Facilitator Training

Monday, April 9 – Friday, April 13, 2012

Learn all you need to become an effective Mental Health Recovery Educator and WRAP Group facilitator. Gain a deeper understanding of the recovery process and learn to:

• Work with people to help them uncover their personal strengths and how they can be used to support their recovery and wellness.
• Effectively share the key concepts to recovery: hope, personal responsibility, education, self-advocacy, and support.
• Work with individuals and groups to develop a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP).
• Teach about wellness tools and strategies.
• Empower and motivate people to work toward recovery.
• Use interaction styles and strategies that enhance recovery.

This course models the behavior of a facilitator in a WRAP class and stresses authenticity and unconditional high regard, as well as a strong set of values and ethics to guide your work.

Registration
 
Fee for the 5-day WRAP Facilitator Training is $1,200. Course participants may also choose to attend the National Council Conference held April 15-17, 2012. Registration for the conference will require a separate fee. 

The WRAP Facilitator Training is open to individuals who have completed the WRAP Seminar I and have developed and are using a Wellness Recovery Action Plan. This training equips participants with the skills necessary to become Mental Health Recovery educators and WRAP Group facilitators and be able to facilitate classes in their communities and organizations. The training is delivered in an experiential learning environment based on self-determination and mutual respect. Participants engage in interactive learning activities and demonstrate their own experience with WRAP.

Applicants for this event must meet specific prerequisites, which are outlined on the application form. Submitted applications will be reviewed, and applicants will be notified if they are accepted for the course. When an applicant is accepted, an invoice will be sent.

Conference group discounts or other coupon discounts do not apply to the WRAP 5-day Facilitator Training registrations.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and faxed to the National Council Annual Conference at 202.386.9391. A service fee of $75 will be deducted from all refund requests received by April 1, 2011. Registrants who do not cancel by March 12, 2012 and do not attend will be responsible for the full registration fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after March 12, 2012.
