CoE Office Hour: Exploring Partnerships Between School-Based Health Centers (SBHC) & Community-Based Mental Health Organizations

Poor mental wellbeing is a growing concern for children and adolescents across the country, and school settings and school-based staff are on the front lines of their health needs. They play a unique role in ensuring children and adolescents are connected to the appropriate resources.

As the demand for mental health and substance use recovery services continues to rise, it is critical to consider partnerships that will increase access to these services for our children and youth. School-based health centers (SBHCs), operated as a partnership between schools and community health centers, play a key role in prevention, early intervention and treatment for mental health and substance use challenges in children and adolescents.

Do you currently have a strong partnership with a school?
