What in the World Does 12-Time Oscar-Nominated Movie Lincoln Have to do with Conference ’13?

a.    Conference Director Danny Linden makes a    cameo in the film.
b.    The movie is based on a book written by Conference ’13 headliner Doris Kearns Goodwin.
c.    Lincoln attends a National Council Conference in the film.

If you guessed B, pat yourself on the back — and register for Conference ‘13 as a reward for such brilliance.

We couldn’t be more excited to bring back acclaimed historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin as the headliner of the Conference ’13 leadership track. Given her unique expertise and knowledge of American presidents (as displayed in Team of Rivals, the book that spurred Steven Spielberg’s hit movie Lincoln), Kearns Goodwin has a great deal to share on leadership and what President Obama can learn from history. In fact, she is the first general session speaker the National Council has ever asked to return for a second time. As conference attendees who enjoyed her in 2011 can attest, Doris Kearns Goodwin is one speaker not to be missed. We truly hope you’ll get a chance to see for yourself.
