HRSA Announces Funding for Health Center Program’s New Access Points

health resources services administration new access pointsThe Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has launched the Health Center Program’s New Access Point (NAP) grants that will provide operational support under the Health Center Program to create more access points. Eligible applicants, which include nonprofit agencies, will need to demonstrate that the new access point(s) will increase access to comprehensive, culturally competent, quality primary health care services, including oral and behavioral health, and improve the health status of underserved and vulnerable populations in the area to be served. HRSA anticipates awarding approximately $19 million to support up to 25 NAP grant awards. Applications should be submitted by February 27th, 2013.
