Complete National Council/NAMI Access to Care Survey Today
The National Council has partnered with NAMI on a nationwide survey of practicing psychiatrists to assess the policy and regulatory barriers that hinder patients’ access to services. Will you please support our policy work by taking a few minutes to fill out the survey?
As Capitol Connector readers know, through our policy work at the National Council, we are dedicated to ensuring that all Americans have access to the healthcare services and supports they need. In recent years, part of efforts has been ensuring access to primary care services and the full range of necessary medications for individuals with behavioral health conditions.
Please take a few minutes to fill out our Access to Care survey today! The survey will take you about 15 minutes to complete. The survey has two goals:
- To update an earlier study conducted by the National Council and researchers at Emory University, which assessed behavioral health organizations’ capacity to provide basic primary care screenings and services.
- To gain a better understanding of how state Medicaid policies affect patients’ access to psychiatric medications
The data from this survey will be used to educate policymakers and members of the public about policy changes needed to expand Americans’ access to care. The survey is to be completed by practicing psychiatrists with oversight and knowledge of the clinical programs at community behavioral health organizations.
To say thank you for your time in completing this survey, the National Council will send you a Starbucks gift card when we receive your completed survey. Respondents will also be entered in a drawing to receive an iPad.
