Change is afoot in health care with the rollout of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics, new health care reform legislation, and a new budget season just beginning. Organizations need strong leadership to guide them through these challenging times and set them up for continued resilience in the future. That’s why the National Council has always offered an array of leadership and workforce development programs for leaders at every level of your organization.

For clinical and administrative managers, the National Council’s Mastering Supervision: Moving from Effective to Excellence training addresses new policies and reimbursement structures that have expanded opportunities for an entirely new set of professionals. This new 1-day training is structured to build strong supervisors who can nurture lasting success and job satisfaction among a vital core of the behavioral health workforce: our everyday staff. (Psst—we’re hosting an informational 30-minute webinar on this training on March 4. Register here!)

For the middle managers, The National Council’s Middle Management Academy prepares new and experienced health care managers and supervisors to build on their strengths to become stronger managers. This 3.5 day training gives managers the skills to help improve productivity by motivating staff, communicating effectively, and fulfilling their role as influential frontline leaders. The next training is March 16-19 in San Antonio, TX.

And for the executive leaders within the National Council membership, we offer the 2015 Executive Leadership Program. This unique program is designed for a diverse group of CEOs, COOs, CFOs, medical directors and other C-suite executives working in the mental health and addiction treatment fields. Selected participants will explore the elements of leadership with their peers and national health care and leadership development thought leaders. Applications are due by 5pm EST on February 16.

The National Council is proud to offer a plethora of leadership and workplace training opportunities for members at every level of your organization. Be sure to check out our full list of trainings here.
