On Friday, June 10, National Council President and CEO Linda Rosenberg will participate in a listening session with Secretary of Health and Human Services Sylvia Burwell and Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy Michael Botticelli. The discussion will cover issues related to parity implementation and enforcement.

To prepare Linda for this discussion, the National Council is calling on its members to share their experiences with parity in their home states. The listening session will provide important information to the Obama Administration about the current status of parity efforts in states across the country. The listening session is part of the White House’s Parity Task Force discussions announced earlier this year.

To submit your feedback, email us here and let us know:

  • Have you or your clients encountered any possible violations of the parity law?
  • What is your state doing to ensure enforcement of parity, and do you have any concerns?
  • What additional support is needed to make sure that parity’s protections reach all Americans?

To all of our members who have already submitted your comments, we thank you. Your efforts are critical to sharing current perspectives from the field directly with these top agency officials.
