Advancing General Health Integration: A Panel Discussion for Clinics

Advancing General Health Integration: A Panel Discussion for Clinics to learn from behavioral health clinic leaders and subject matter experts as they highlight key findings and recommendations from the recent General Health Integration Framework (GHI) learning collaborative!

Mental health and substance use disorders are primary contributors to many negative health outcomes in the U.S. The ongoing escalation of these challenges gives rise to shorter lifespans, greater physical health needs, avoidable hospital admissions and increased strain on the health care system. Improving integration is pivotal to addressing co-morbid conditions and their associated adverse outcomes, helping providers tackle the high mortality rates for vulnerable populations.

This session will spotlight two clinics that participated in the recent learning collaborative — Hamilton Center and Hegira Health, to share their experiences utilizing the GHI Framework, lessons learned from the learning collaborative and their results on improving quality metrics for integrated care. Learn more about GHI in the issue brief and peer-reviewed paper.

All sessions are supported by the Center of Excellence for Integrated Health Solutions, funded by a grant award from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. If you have any questions about this session or any others in this series, contact Integration@TheNationalCouncil.org.
