Defining Workforce Needs and Planning Strategies for Integrated Care at the Provider Level

Successful integrated care depends on more than co-located services — it requires a cohesive workforce supported by smart strategies for tracking, planning and closing gaps using practical tools and data-driven insights.

Join us on Wednesday, July 16, 2-3 p.m. ET for CoE-IHS Integration in Action: Defining Workforce Needs and Planning Strategies for Integrated Care at the Provider Level. In an interactive panel discussion, we will explore how team-based care models can thrive when built on a strong foundation of workforce integration.

We’ll highlight key team roles — primary care physicians, behavioral health and substance use specialists, care coordinators, and peer support specialists — and the core competencies that support collaboration and patient-centered care, including:

  • Trauma-informed practices
  • Shared decision-making
  • Team-based communication
  • Patient-centered responsiveness

Panelists will unpack common challenges like burnout, role confusion and lack of support, and share actionable strategies for workforce tracking and planning — including gap analyses and sample dashboards.

We’ll also examine how monitoring key metrics such as retention, vacancy duration and staff satisfaction can strengthen your workforce and improve care delivery.
