Opportunities for Medical Directors through CCBHC
The Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) model is designed to improve outcomes for people experiencing mental health and substance use challenges through improving access to and delivery of integrated and comprehensive care. Successful implementation of the model requires adaption of traditional staff roles and responsibilities, include the Medical Director. To support CCBHC medical directors and other leadership in understanding the requirements and role considerations for successful implementation of the CCBHC model, the National Council’s CCBHC Success Center and Medical Director Institute, in partnership with MTM Services and innovaTel Telepsychiatry, hosted a second webinar in their three-part series. This session was presented by Dr. Joe Parks, National Council, Dr. John Kern, AIMS Center, University of Washington, Dr. Jeffery Eisen, Behavioral Health Division at MultiCare Health System, and Dr. Liberty Eberly, innovaTel Telepsychiatry.
