Tim Swinfard

Tim Swinfard, MS, LPC, is the president and chief executive officer of Compass Health Network. The Compass Health Network includes a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), psychiatric hospital, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), addictions programs and a community mental health center. The organization serves over 70,000 people annually with over 2,600 employees. He previously served as chief executive officer of the Missouri Coalition of Community Mental Health Centers. The Coalition has led efforts in Missouri to integrate primary care with behavioral health care and to implement disease management services for those with co-morbid chronic health conditions. He gained a considerable amount of experience at Burrell Behavioral Health, where he served from 1991-2005. Swinfard was Burrell’s vice president of operations for the six years prior to joining the Missouri Coalition of Community Mental Health Centers. Swinfard is a licensed professional counselor. He serves on the board of directors of the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
