As behavioral health joins mainstream healthcare in the trend that increasingly ties health outcomes to payment and contracting, a focus on health behavior change becomes more critical. While changing health behavior is hard, it is not impossible. Organizations that assertively move in this direction find that not only do they need to look at strategies to support health behavior change in the people they serve, but also in their staff and overall organization.

This preconference is designed for leaders and staff of organizations that have made a “deep end” commitment to wellness and who are ready to move beyond integrating primary and behavioral healthcare to creating an overall culture of wellness that supports health behavior change in everyone — staff and clients alike.

Using health behavior change evidence, a stages of change model for individuals and organizations, and stories from organizations that are learning to swim in the deep end, you’ll explore strategies and options and provide space for developing next steps.
