Update on COVID-19 and Hill Day
The National Council is aware there may be questions about Hill Day 2020 in light of the coronavirus, COVID-19 outbreak, so please know we are paying very close attention to this ever-changing situation.
As always, the health and safety of our registrants and staff remain our number one priority. As of today, there are no plans to cancel or postpone Hill Day 2020.
We are proceeding on course, and our direct message to those planning to come to DC in June is to continue to follow CDC guidelines and protocols.
We will continue to regularly update all registered attendees on any changes to Hill Day 2020 plans, and please feel free to reach out to Malka Berro (MalkaB@TheNationalCouncil.org) with any questions or concerns.
What is Hill Day?
The National Council’s Hill Day is the largest behavioral health advocacy event of the year. Held in partnership with national mental health and addiction organizations, Hill Day gathers hundreds of behavioral health providers, C-suite level executives, board members, consumers and community stakeholders in D.C. for sessions and workshops on federal behavioral health policy. After these sessions, Hill Day attendees take their message to Capitol Hill to advocate for better resources for mental health and addictions treatment in their communities. Learn more about Hill Day here.
Why does Hill Day matter?
By coming together as a unified voice to champion the interests of Americans living with mental illness and/or addiction, Hill Day attendees have the opportunity to directly speak with the officials they voted into office and influence them to support critically important legislation that will help improve access to comprehensive health care for this vulnerable population. Hill Day is an incredible opportunity for experts in the field of mental health and addictions to advocate for the people they serve.
The National Council welcomes our national advocacy partners who have joined together around our common Hill Day agenda. Our voices are stronger together!
Thank you to our sponsors for their generous support of Hill Day!
