Building Capacity Through Community Behavioral Health Organizations To Prevent Overdose
  • Year 1 and 2: CBHO Grantees

In 2023, the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), launched the Building Capacity Through Community Behavioral Health Organizations (CBHOs) initiative. This first-year program provided 25 CBHOs up to $100,000 each in grant funding to support their overdose prevention efforts. Due to the program’s successful outcomes in strengthening community-based overdose prevention services, a second year of funding was launched in 2024, supporting an additional 24 CBHOs with similar grant amounts.
