PPS and CCBHC Decisions

Understanding the New Payment Model and Impact on Clinical, Workforce and Operational Decisions

CCBHCs will be paid for their services under a new Prospective Payment System (PPS) model, with an option to implement a daily, per-encounter rate (known as PPS-1) or a single monthly rate for any clients who received services during that month (known as PPS-2). Each PPS system is based on clinics’ anticipated cost of providing CCBHC services and has the potential to more accurately reflect the real costs of care—but only if implemented and calculated correctly. What implications will this new payment model have on clinical and operational decisions? Is your workforce ready for the changes ahead under PPS? Take a deep dive into the brave new world of PPS with our resources and consulting options below.
