Introduction Session
This recording provides an overview of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs), covering the three pathways to certification, key criteria relevant to children, youth and family services, and how CCBHCs currently serve these populations. It provides foundational knowledge for the Children, Youth and Family Learning Community.
Session 1: Climate and Organizational Culture
Join us to explore the climate and organizational culture shifts necessary to effectively serve children, youth and families, while considering the leadership strategies to use in implementing these shifts within state systems and CCBHCs.
Session 2: Service Line Development for Children and Youth
Development of a service array that fulfills CCBHC requirements and provides effective services for children, youth and families requires specific selections of services and tailoring of supports. Join us to explore strategies to establish children’s services, including exploring opportunities for Designated Collaborating Organization arrangements.
Session 3: Building Necessary Cross-system Partnerships
Children and youth interact with different systems than adult populations. Join us to identify and strategize how to establish these crucial relationships between CCBHCs and education, juvenile justice and child welfare systems, to ensure appropriate connectivity for children, youth and families.
Session 4: Integration with MRSS and Crisis Response for Youth Populations
Establishing an effective service array for children and youth requires integration between CCBHCs and state crisis response systems, with efforts to instill youth-specific crisis interventions including MRSS. Explore the potential for integration in this session.
Session 5: Customization for the Lifespan: Serving Early Childhood and Transition-aged Youth Populations
Children and youth benefiting from services may require additional customization of support. There are many considerations, and this session will explore strategies for the youngest and oldest in the child and youth age range as examples.
