Workforce Solutions Jam | Extending the Behavioral Health Workforce: Technology as an Extender
In this Workforce Solutions Jam session, we’ll explore how AI, digital platforms and virtual training tools can be used to streamline workflows, modernize clinical operations and accelerate workforce development in behavioral health organizations
On March 17, join us for a conversation with Rosa M. Thomas, MA, LLP, a senior health care executive; Alexandra Plante, Senior Advisor of Substance Use at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing; and Zac Imel, Professor at the University of Utah and Chief Science Officer at Lyssn.io.
Together, they will share practical insights and real-world examples of how technology is reshaping behavioral health service delivery and workforce development.
This Jam session, Part 3 of our Extending the Behavioral Health Workforce series will:
- Explore how digital modernization efforts can reduce administrative burden, expand access to skill‑building opportunities and support consistent, person‑centered care across varied behavioral health settings.
- Examine how emerging technologies can extend the behavioral health workforce and improve care delivery.
- Discuss ethical, regulatory and fairness considerations in implementing technology‑enabled workflows, including the importance of human oversight.
The Workforce Solutions Jam is a monthly webinar to build national momentum and encourage collaboration. It is hosted as a partnership between the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, Health Management Associates and The College for Behavioral Health Leadership.
The National Council’s Center for Workforce Solutions (CWS) strengthens the mental health and substance use workforce by building capacity and developing practical tools, training and strategic support.
