Strategies for Success: Delivering Care as a Collaborative Care Psychiatric Consultant

Join the Center of Excellence for Integrated Health Solutions and the American Psychiatric Association on Sept. 24, 2-3:30 p.m. ET, for Strategies for Success: Delivering Care as a Collaborative Care Psychiatric Consultant.

This session will delve into the role of the psychiatric consultant in the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM), an evidence-based approach to integrating behavioral health into primary care. We will provide an in-depth look at the psychiatric consultant’s responsibilities and impact. We’ll also offer practical guidance to help integrated care teams improve access, outcomes and whole-person care.

Participants will:

  • Gain a clear understanding of the psychiatric consultant’s role within CoCM, including clinical, administrative and collaborative functions.
  • Learn about training opportunities and resources that prepare psychiatrists to succeed in this role, including where to find information on strategies to build and sustain effective programs.
