National Council member organizations now have complimentary access to Thrive Global, a health and wellbeing platform designed to help people build healthier habits through small, practical steps. Thrive Global offers resources and guidance focused on food, movement, sleep, stress management, and connection — areas that can support workforce wellness, resilience, and productivity.

How Thrive Works

Making and sustaining significant life changes can feel overwhelming. That’s why Thrive created Microsteps — small, science-backed, habit-building steps that build over time to create meaningful change. The Thrive Global platform also features inspirational storytelling and stress-reducing tools that work in real time. Take advantage of all that Thrive has to offer, with:

  • Daily Check-ins to help you understand how your wellbeing journey is going and offer real-time solutions
  • Resets so you can take a 60-second pause to set your intentions for the day
  • Actionable Microsteps, or small habit changes, to help you make progress in achieving your short- and long-term goals
  • Articles and resources to educate and inspire sustainable changes
  • Challenges to help you connect with your coworkers and take action
  • Achievements to celebrate your wellbeing milestones

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this available to all National Council members?

Member organizations that are 501(c)(3) nonprofits may register immediately. For-profit member organizations should contact the National Council to request licenses, which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

How have organizations successfully used Thrive Global?

Organizations use Thrive Global to make wellbeing part of how teams already work, instead of one more thing to add. Leaders open meetings with a 60-second Reset, rally teams around Group Challenges that build habits and peer support, and share colleagues’ stories to inspire others. Many organizations will encourage employees to join the monthly Ask Thrive Live webinars and use the Thrive Content Kits as an opportunity to focus on a particular wellbeing theme each month. Thrive’s Microsteps have been adopted by employees at more than 230 organizations in over 160 countries.

What is the Daily Check-In?

The Thrive Daily Check-In is a daily reflection question about how you are feeling, your energy levels, and other micro-assessments that will help you reflect and suggest ways to help reduce stress. The Daily Check-In is accessible on mobile and web.

What are Thrive Resets?

Stress is inevitable, but cumulative stress is preventable. Science shows that taking a break of even just 60 seconds has a powerful result on our stress levels. Thrive Resets are 60-90 second videos that help you unwind with just the click of a button, guiding you through simple breathwork, stretches, and mindfulness practices.

You can also create your own personal Reset with images that bring you calm and joy, as well as quotes that inspire you and music you love.

Resets can be used to:

  • Start your day by taking 60 seconds to breathe.
  • Watch a Reset when you feel stressed. Resets can reduce stress in 60 seconds by activating the parasympathetic nervous system and lowering cortisol levels.
  • Start team meetings with a personal Reset to foster connection and joy.
  • Schedule a Reset on your calendar after a string of back-to-back meetings.
What are Thrive Challenges?

Consistency is key for creating new habits. Thrive Challenges add an extra layer of guidance and motivation through suggested Microsteps that help you accomplish your wellbeing goals over a set period, individually or with your team. Challenges build community around wellbeing by providing a network of support, healthy competition, and accountability among your colleagues. After a Challenge, go a step further — share your story to inspire others by becoming a Thrive Role Model.

There are over 30 Challenges to choose from, with topics ranging from getting more movement, finding connection, meal prepping, and shifting your mindset. You can choose to do a Thrive Challenge by yourself or make it a group Challenge and invite your teammates to join you.

What are Library Courses?

Thrive Courses are short, expert-led learning programs that support you on a range of personal and professional topics. The lessons are broken up into short videos so you can take it at your own pace. Popular topics include:

  • Thriving Performance — Understand the connection between wellbeing and performance.
  • Thriving Mind — Unlock better mental health and build mental resilience.
  • Thriving Across Our Differences — Learn how to create environments where everyone can thrive.
  • Nourish to Thrive — Build food habits to sharpen focus, reduce anxiety, and enjoy food.
  • Empowering Life-Work Alignment — Succeed at work and have more time for the things that bring you connection, purpose, and joy.
