Session 4 | Pathways to Recovery: Serving Justice-Involved Individuals in CCBHCs    

This four-part learning series equips CCBHCs with the tools and frameworks to effectively serve individuals involved in the criminal justice system. Using the Sequential Intercept Model (SIM) as a foundation, the series explores how CCBHCs can align clinical services, crisis systems, and community partnerships to improve outcomes for justice-involved individuals across the justice continuum, from pre-arrest diversion to reentry and stabilization.  

Participants will learn how to identify gaps in local systems, develop trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices, and collaborate with partners in law enforcement, courts, jails, and probation.   

Proposed objectives include the following:

  • Understand and apply the Sequential Intercept Model to guide justice-related service planning  
  • Design trauma-informed, person-centered approaches for justice-involved individuals  
  • Build or strengthen collaborations with justice system partners
