National Council and Qualifacts Partner to Understand the Role of Virtual Care on Behavioral Health Care Providers Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

Rapid change of care delivery, reimbursement regulations and the spike in demand for mental health, addiction treatment services have had a broad impact on behavioral health care providers

Nashville, Tenn. May 8, 2020 — The National Council for Mental Wellbeing and Qualifacts, a leading EHR platform for Behavioral Health and Human Service organizations, have partnered to conduct a national survey of behavioral health care providers to gauge the role virtual care has had on their businesses during and post COVID-19.

“As federal and state leaders look to make policy and budget changes to meet the current challenges of the coronavirus pandemic, we will ensure providers have a voice in those critical conversations,” said Chuck Ingoglia, President and CEO, National Council for Mental Wellbeing. “Data will be collected and the findings shared with legislators and respondents, so we can work together to understand what providers need now to prepare for what is coming next.”

For those organizations on the frontlines of serving persons with behavioral health, substance use, and intellectual and developmental disabilities, the short-and long-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is not yet known.

“We are proud to partner with the National Council on the behavioral health virtual care survey.” said David Klements, Qualifacts President and CEO. “What we learn from respondents will be essential to setting clinical, operational, and reimbursement strategies that best support the future needs of behavioral health provider organizations.”

Providers from behavioral health care can fill out a brief survey here. We will field the survey until May 22.
