The National Mental Health Workforce Acceleration Collaborative, funded by and developed in partnership with Kaiser Permanente, is a proven model to support your professional growth and success.

Is the Accelerator Right for You?


You’re a great fit if you:

Have a master’s degree (or will graduate soon) from an accredited program in: 

  • Counseling psychology
  • Mental health counseling
  • Marriage and family therapy
  • Social work
  • Substance use/addiction counseling

Are early in your journey toward clinical licensure (less than 33% of direct clinical hours accrued) 

Demonstrate financial need 

Are committed to serving communities with unmet needs

Work full time (or have an offer) at an eligible organization 


Eligible employment sites:

Mental health and substance use treatment centers 

Federally Qualified Health Centers

Academic health institutions 

School-based and mobile outreach services 

Nonprofit community-based provider organizations

Note: For-profit private practices are generally not eligible under this program.

Program Timeline

Applications open
Nov. 3, 2025.

Applications close
Nov. 16, 2025.

Acceptance decisions will be shared in
mid-December.

Cohort onboarding will occur in
mid-January.

Program cohort runs
January 2026-December 2028.

*Applications for the next cohort will open in April 2026.
